Medical Outpatients Department

The Medical Outpatients Department holds many clinics for the following specialties; rheumatology, gastroenterology, hepatology, general medicine, endocrinology and neurology.

The clinics are staffed by local and visiting doctors.

There are also clinical nurse specialist clinics held for hepatology, gastroenterology, rheumatology and multiple sclerosis.

The clinics run morning and afternoon appointments Mondays – Friday. In addition some of our visiting doctors run weekend clinics.

Appointments

It is really important that you attend your appointment. Often our waitlists are very long and if people do not attend their appointment, it is an unused spot which could have been used by another person.

To confirm your appointment ring (06) 753 7739 and leave a message

If you are not able to attend the appointment you have been given, please let us know so we can allocate your appointment to someone else and give you another time.

Failure to attend without notification will mean you are no longer on the waiting list and you will have to go back to your GP and start again.

Medical Outpatients is different to Surgical Outpatients and they are located in different areas.
Medical Outpatients is best accessed via the Tukapa Street Entrance (Gate 2).
Medical Outpatients has a green appointment card.
Blue patient car parks are located close to the Tukapa Street Entrance.
