Welcome to the Hawera Hospital pages. Hawera Hospital offers a comprehensive health service. The sun filled hospital includes inpatient beds with private ensuites, four maternity beds and a fully equipped birthing room. A 24-hour emergency department provides emergency services. Hawera Hospital offers outpatient and community services including mental health, district, allied health and public health services. The new $7.9M Hawera Hospital opened to patients in March 2002 and was formally opened by the Prime Minister Helen Clark on 19 June 2002.
