Seven active COVID-19 cases in Taranaki
1 February 2022
Today there are four new COVID-19 cases to report in Taranaki.
One is a household contact of a previously reported case in New Plymouth and the other three are known close contacts of the previously reported case in Hāwera. This brings the region’s total number of active cases to seven.
Taranaki DHB’s COVID-19 response manager, Gillian Campbell, says the new cases have been in isolation since they became close contacts.
“If there are any additional locations of interest identified these will be published on the Ministry of Health’s website.
“Three of the cases were identified after the reporting cut-off and will be officially reported in the Ministry’s case tally tomorrow.”
