Taranaki DHB Still On Standby For Any Requests From Canterbury DHB

4 March 2011

Taranaki DHB continues to be on standby to assist the Canterbury DHB if our help is required. We have asked staff for expressions of interest from those who would be available to assist the Canterbury DHB after the earthquake.

The Canterbury DHB Trust is now established and information is available to TDHB staff via the Intranet. Thank you to those who have already donated to this - your support is appreciated by our Canterbury colleagues.

Three of our staff have returned safely from Christchurch today with two laboratory staff and one doctor still in the city.

Health Emergency Management Group (HEMG) continues to be updated and monitor the situation. HEMG will contact any staff that may be required and thanks for your understanding to those who have volunteered.

Attached is a fact sheet from the Government for any Christchurch residents who have come to Taranaki for a short break or for a long time – please pass this on to anyone you know who is from Christchurch staying in Taranaki:
