Visiting Lecturer Professor Ron Jones at Taranaki DHB

Taranaki District Immunisation facilitator Trish Wells- Morris is delighted to bring Dr Jones to Taranaki to talk to staff and those interested on topics related to preventing cervical cancer.

“Dr Jones is a Professor of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Auckland, and is a lead researcher in Gynaecology  cancer prevention and Human Papillomavirus(HPV) vaccine development,” said Mrs Wells-Morris.

He will be speaking at the DHB education centre on Wednesday 10th February 2010, and is available for a media interview at 1.30pm

Topics that Dr Jones will be covering  include Cervical Cancer in New Zealand, recent vaccine trial results, Gardasil – including frequently asked questions and the Human Papillomavirus (HPV) Vaccine Programme and where to in 2010
