World Physiotherapy Day - Movement for Health

03 September 2009

World Physiotherapy Day (8 September) marks the unity and solidarity of the physical therapy profession from 101 countries.

It is an opportunity to recognise the work physical therapists do for their patients and community.

The Taranaki DHB Physiotherapy Department plans to have a display in the cafe at Base Hospital on 8 September.

Staff from the department will also be at the Wind Wand between 12noon-1.30pm (weather permitting) involved in physical activity such as skateboarding, scootering, cycling and skating to promote World Physiotherapy Day.
