Temporary road layout near Base Hospital main entrance

11 February 2014

Access to Base Hospital is changing over the next few weeks to incorporate the completion of the civil works at the new entrance to the hospital. While work is underway a temporary road and pedestrian layout will be in place.

The construction area will have temporary fencing, barriers and signage in place to ensure safety of pedestrians.

Pedestrians will be using a new footpath to get from the car park to the main entrance and visitor car parking out the front of the main entrance will not be available to allow for traffic to use that lane in both directions.

We understand that this will impact on staff members, patients and visitors travelling through the hospital to get to the public car park and entering the main entrance on foot.
This is a temporary change to traffic and pedestrian access to the hospital and will be completed within the next two months.

We thank you for your understanding and assistance during the ongoing construction phase and apologise for any inconvenience posed.
