Mā te Mātau

A FREE pēpi safety programme designed for hapū whānau in Taranaki, offering tools to help keep pēpi safe.

The Mā te Mātau programme is provided by a range of community services in partnership with Te Whatu Ora - Taranaki. You'll learn how to keep your home safe and dry (Wise Charitable Trust), safe sleep for pēpi (Taranaki Tau te Moe, Te Aka Whai Ora), reducing risks and hazards around the whare (Kidsafe Taranaki), protecting your mental health (therapeutic social work) and CPR and choking (Em Med Training Ltd). 

  • When: third thursday of every month
  • Time: 3-7pm
  • Where: Tasman Club, 35 Octavius Place, New Plymouth

What is provided in the programme?

Dinner is included and dietary requirements will be catered for.
After completing the programme, you will receive CPR Level 2 certificate and some safety-related koha.
