Hapū Wānanga

A FREE kaupapa Māori labour, birth and parenting programme designed for young pregnant women and their families/whānau in Taranaki.

The Hapū Wānanga Programme is an interactive and fun programme run over two days.

What is involved?

Preparing for labour, birth and parenthood can sometimes be overwhelming. The Hapū Wānanga Programme is an interactive and fun programme that has been designed to provide you and your whānau with the best information and skills needed to be ready for birth and parenthood.

Over the two days, you will hear from interesting speakers, participate in interactive workshops with all kinds of props, link with other like-minded people and you may even win a prize or two for your efforts!

What is provided in the programme?

All meals from morning tea to afternoon tea will be provided.
If you complete both days, you will receive a certificate, Mama & Pepi Pack with heaps of free goodies and a wahakura safe sleep device.

Simply fill out our online registration or contact Tawera who will confirm your place, location and date for the wānanga.
