Advisory Committee

Function of the Hospital Advisory Committee:

The Hospital Advisory Committee is responsible for advising the District Health Board on the hospitals' performance. It is not involved in day-to-day hospital management.

The Chief Executive provides reports on hospital performance to the Hospital Advisory Committee and these can then be assessed and monitored against the performance objectives set out in the Annual Plan and other relevant accountability documents.

Committee meetings will be open to the public with the committee reserving the right to "go into committee" on particular agenda items.

Submissions may be sent to:
The Executive Officer
Taranaki District Health Board
Private Bag 2016
New Plymouth 4342

Phone: 06 7536139
Fax: 06 7537780

People wishing to make submissions/deputations at advisory committee meetings should notify the executive officer at least 10 working days before the meeting.

However, an open public forum will be held at the beginning of each advisory committee meeting, providing an opportunity for free dialogue between the public and committee before the more formal submission/deputation section of the meeting commences.
