Taranaki Programme Weekly Update

We put out the call for Taranaki people to step up and the response was phenomenal - with a record breaking 15,600 doses administered last week!

This means that more than 50% of Taranaki people are now fully protected against the virus and 76.3% of Taranaki people have now had at least one dose.

Rates for Māori and Pacific peoples have also increased with 56.1% of Māori having received at least one dose and 32.8% fully protected, and 73.2% of Pacific people having received at least one dose and 46% fully protected.

Ka pai, Taranaki -but we are only half way there, and there is still a lot to be done, particularly for our Māori and Pacific peoples.

The programme, together with our partner-providers, is doing everything it can to bring vaccination opportunities to our Taranaki communities with community barbecues, going street-by-street, mobile clinics in supermarket car-parks and visiting kindergartens.
Check out the TDHB website for all the details of pop-up clinics and look out for our flags! Updates are also posted regularly on the Taranaki DHB Facebook page - give us a like to stay informed.

If you do see us out and about, our friendly staff are more than happy to talk through any questions or concerns you may have about getting the vaccine, no pressure, or just walk-in to get your jab!

Don't forget you can still book an appointment at one of our main vaccination centres, with one of our GP or pharmacy partner-providers, or with your Māori health provider - whatever works for you!
It is so easy to do - the online booking portal Book My Vaccine makes the process very straightforward - and has a booking availability tool so you can see at a glance were clinics are and what appointment times they have free. Check out if your doctor is offering COVID-19 vaccinations at Healthpoint.
